OrchidHackX 2026 – From Ideas to Innovation

OrchidHackX 2026 is a 48-hour offline hackathon hosted by Orchid International College in Kathmandu, Nepal, bringing together passionate developers, designers, innovators, and problem-solvers to build impactful technology solutions.

Whether you're a beginner attending your first hackathon or an experienced hacker, OrchidHackX provides an inclusive environment with mentorship, collaboration, and hands-on learning. Participants will form teams, brainstorm ideas, build working prototypes, and present their projects to a panel of industry judges.

The hackathon features three exciting tracks:

Requirements

Required Deliverables
  • Project Name and a short tagline.
  • Project Description explaining:
    • The problem you are solving.
    • Your solution and its impact.
    • The technologies used.
  • Demo Video (3–5 minutes) showcasing your project and its key features.
  • Source Code Repository
    • Public GitHub repository (or provide access to judges if private).
  • Presentation/Pitch
    • A concise explanation of your project for the final judging.
  • Screenshots
    • At least 2–3 images of your project.
  • Team Information
    • Names and roles of all team members.
Project Rules  
  • Projects must be built primarily during the official 48-hour hackathon.
  • Teams may use open-source libraries, APIs, frameworks, and AI tools, provided they are properly acknowledged.
  • Any pre-existing code must be clearly disclosed in the submission.
  • Each team may submit only one project.
  • Projects must align with at least one of the official hackathon tracks:
    • AI & Machine Learning
    • Cybersecurity
    • Open Innovation
  • The submitted project must be functional enough to demonstrate its core features during judging.
